The Clever Cactus - Walk to Palm Canyon Drive!

Lets face it, photos can be deceiving, and you really never know what you're getting into until you arrive and see the house in person. Let me tell you...this house was amazing! The photos didn't lie, this house is gorgeous! We had the best time on our trip. The pool and the outdoor area was super relaxing! My daughter and I had a blast playing in the super clean pool, and to make it even better, it's 8ft. deep! That is unheard of in a rental home. If you're thinking of staying here, trust me...rent the house and get ready for an amazing time!

Nice location, lovely house. Would have been nice to have flexibility with later checkout time. We did have some issues that hot-tub did not work and pool temperature was cold (and we paid extra for heating).

The Clever Cactus has a great central location in Palm Springs and was very comfortable for our extended family (grandparents, son and his family.) We liked the size of the pool and swam everyday.

We really enjoyed this property. It is immaculately clean, very well appointed, and a great location. We walked to the Bontanic Garden and to the South Lykken Trail head. Everything you need is in the house and the property management company is first class. Thank you!

I don’t really know where to begin. I guess I will start off by saying that this house made our trip in Palm Springs. There were five of us vacationing in Palm Springs for a friend of ours 40th birthday. It fit five people remarkably. There was no shortage on bathrooms! And that’s always a huge plus when 5 girls are trying to get ready to go out at night. Each bedroom has its own en suite and then there’s another bathroom with a massive shower! The home is so clean, the beds were so comfortable, the Decor and the styling was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. It was so hard to get out of that pool! And don’t let the word “salt water” fool you, it isn’t salty and a huge bonus that we never smelled like chlorine! Acme house was on top of it when we had a little hiccup with our plumbing, and resolved the issue within 30 minutes of our call. The only reason to even mention that is to reassure anyone that if for some strange reason you need something, they are more than accommodating to help your stay remain comfortable. The location is incredible. It’s definitely walkable (if it’s not to hot) to the downtown strip, great distance for a nice bike ride, and a very in expensive Uber ride. The neighborhood is gorgeous every neighboring home is well manicured and taken care of and this home is no exception. We sat around the fire pit at night, cooked great meals and sat on the outdoor patio, curled up with good movies at night. I honestly cannot say enough great things about

Overall Comment Fabulous week at the Clever Cactus. The home was beautiful (as pictured). We spent most our our time at the pool, the lawn and the fruit trees were are wonderful surprise. The home and outside area were clean and well maintained. Adults family of 4, we each had lots of room to work and relax.

This is a lovely house. There are two master bedrooms that are both comfortable and open on the pool. The location is great - close to hiking.

Came to Palm Springs for covid kosher escape. Swam in the pool, enjoyed the sun, and did some hiking.

Overall Comment Decor is thoughtful and good quality throughout. Kitchen nicely appointed with amble glassware. A couple hiccups (front gate fell apart at arrival, bed frame broke after installation was not correct), but rental company was quick to respond. The house infrastructure is a bit old, so HVAC is loud and inconsistent. Outside paint needs an update on patio. Washing machine has mildew odor so didn’t use. Front gate should be automated rather than needing a person to open and close manually. Despite property description, it is not walkable to downtown. Requires walk along busy road which includes a large construction site. Didn’t think it was safe to walk to area at night.

The house was perfect for our needs and gave everyone plenty of space. The kids loved it, too. It has a comfortable and stylish feel to it, with great original features like the stone floor in the main living area. The kitchen is well equipped, the pool heated and the neighborhood is quiet. We liked it so much that we stayed an extra day.

Highly recommend The Clever Cactus home for a weekend Palm Springs getaway. The home is beautifully furnished with many great amenities (2 kitchens, 3 bedrooms each with full bath, very large and clean outdoor pool). Very centrally located as well, a short drive to Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells, and just a few miles from downtown Palm Springs.

Great house! Perfect for a group because there are two separate sections that make it easy to spend time together or apart. Both kitchens are fully stocked. You are a short Lyft ride to all the bars and restaurants. The backyard is amazing. Bring a pool float and plan on relaxing. There is a sound ordinance so you cant be loud or play music. Just pour yourself a drink and enjoy the awesome view. The host is super helpful. They made check in and out a breeze. Someone came by and showed us how to work all the electronics. They were also really responsive when we needed assistance even though it was a holiday weekend. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
