It’s situated on an oversized lot complete with mature fruit trees and walled for privacy. It features off-street covered parking and a 25-foot in-ground pool, a primary king suite plus a two-room guest suite that sleeps an additional 4 in a queen and 2 twin beds, each in their own room. OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
The open floor plan allows desert breezes to waft through the house and warm natural light to illuminate the space. Although the home has an overall modern feel, original architectural details remain and give the interior an unmistakable mid-century modern character. The furnishings are stylish, but comfortable and inviting. You’ll find the fully-stocked kitchen has everything you need to feed a crowd and features a suite of upscale stainless steel appliances. The stunning dining set seats 6-8 in a light-filled airy formal dining room. The separate den is a great space for reading, conversations by the fireplace over a glass of Chardonnay, or napping away the afternoon on the daybed.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Relax in your primary suite with a California king bed and separate seating area with a flat-screen TV. This room features a spacious walk-in closet, an ensuite bathroom, and convenient direct access to the back patio and pool area.

The guest suite features two rooms with a set of elegant French doors separating them, one with a queen size bed and the other with 2 twin beds Both rooms are comfortable and stylish and have flat-screen TVs. This configuration makes a great option for parents with children, or just extra guests.

Acme was a great host! When there was a last minute issue with the place we'd originally booked, they reached out, apologized and offered us comparable and even better options at no additional cost. The home is beautiful - great for two couples or a family with multiple (incredible!) outdoor spaces. There were clear check in instructions, the home was spotless and it has all the amenities you'd need - including a bottle of wine and a fully stocked coffee station. We'll definitely stay here again!

Excellent experience. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi upon check in (host had changed the password for Wi-Fi but old password still in materials) and Acme sent a tech out immediately to get us squared away. Home was very clean, stylish and comfortable. Thoughtful amenities like coffee and tea service with sugar and creamer, plus basic spices, salt and pepper and oils—didn’t have to buy salt and pepper like we’ve had to do at other rentals. Grounds were well kept and attractive. Pool was clean and pool and lounge areas had a lot of comfortable lounge furniture and pillows. Fire pit was a welcome bonus on a cool evening. Heavenly aroma from home’s lemon and orange tree blossoms. Neighborhood is very walkable and close to a large park. It’s also walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. A wonderful week —thank you to Acme and the owner.

Feels like a private resort!

If you're considering booking this property, just do it - you will not be disappointed. The home and property are just as beautiful as the pictures look and are filled with so many helpful "extras" that make the stay even more pleasant than expected. From the extremely well stocked coffee and tea bar, shampoo and body wash in every bathroom, board games for quiet nights at home and an extremely well stocked kitchen (including a juicer for fresh squeezed OJ and lemonade from the backyard citrus trees) this home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The property is beautiful and the outdoor living spaces are absolutely gorgeous. It's a quick 5 minute drive to downtown, 10 minutes from the beautiful Tahquitz Canyon, 15 minutes from the airport and about an hour from Joshua Tree National Park. The property management company is extremely responsive and very helpful with any questions you may have. My only suggestion would be to add an outdoor heater for the winter months so more time can be spent outside when it's chilly. If we find ourselves in Palm Springs again we would book this home in a heartbeat!

This is a very comfortable home with lots of amenities. We did not realize that we should have chosen to have the pool heated. The management is always available should there be any issue. They clearly do a great job of maintaining and cleaning. Property is close to downtown and the airport. Only drawback is some noise.

Fantastic stay at the Ruth Hardy Park Oasis property! Beautiful, quiet, private property; close to downtown; thoughtfully appointed with amenities. Very easy to check in and check out. The pool was wonderful to soak up some unexpected triple digit temperatures! Beautiful green lawns to view from the ample outdoor space. My dog loved roaming completely fenced in property (only note that the sprinklers go off every few hours, so once you get used to it you won't get caught in them lol). The property managers were very friendly and responsive. Absolutely recommend staying here and hope to visit again!

This is a charming and comfortable home close to downtown Palm Springs. The house is cozy and very comfortable, fully stocked with anything you might need. What sets this house apart - is its' gardens and yard. Lemon, orange and grapefruit trees adorn the property. Plenty of palms and great lounging areas. Only a 5 minute walk to the lovely, Ruth Hardy Park - we loved it and will stay here again!

Should have booked longer!

This property is ideally located, a block away from Ruth Hardy park. Our 11.5 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback was like a puppy when he saw the gorgeous back yard.! So much space and beautifully landscaped! I loved the pool! Great rehab for my bum knee because of the warmth! The house was very clean and the property management was very responsive. Mounds of coffee pods provided and a well stocked kitchen. We were very comfortable here! The only suggestion I would make would be to add a shower in the second bathroom, as the free standing tub with shower was a bit awkward. Also should be aware that the third bedroom is attached to the second, a bit odd but certainly did not affect our enjoyment or use as a couple.

The home and grounds were immaculate! We had a wonderful relaxing time. Our two poodles Bowie and Flynn really enjoyed the spacious back yard. The pool was nice and we used it on the first day as the temps were in the 80's. The weather cooled off after that but we still spent quite a bit of time on the back patios enjoying the peace and quiet!

Please note: we were told explicitly that there was not a child-deterrent fence available for use around the pool. Although we did not end up putting it in place, there IS a pool fence available for you to set up on the property.

This property is lovely. There really is as much outdoor space as shown in the pictures! :) It's very relaxing. The one huge thing to know is you literally cannot play ANY music at ANY volume outside due to a city ordinance for all rental properties. It's something to get used to for sure. All in all though it's a great location. Easy to walk to downtown and only short Uber rides around town. Ubers/Lyfts are plentiful.

We spent 10 days at RHP Oasis and loved it. The house was very clean and well stocked. The yards are beautiful and peaceful and we spent hours relaxing by the pool. We have rented a vacation home in various locations for the last 10 years. We both agree that overall, this property was the best. The pool and outdoor amenities were a real treat. The home Is in a beautiful, quiet, but convenient neighborhood. Downtown Palm Springs is just several blocks away with a wide variety of really good restaurants and other attractions. The home was meticulously clean and amazingly well equipped, We cannot comment on the responsiveness of the management because we had no questions or other reason to contact them during our stay. The advance information and materials in the home were very useful. We would like to return sometime in the future and would definitely recommend the property and Acme House Company to others.

Pool is on the small and shallow, but we very much enjoyed it - especially to escape the heat. The instructions to use the space were perfectly clear and easy to follow. We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend here. Highly recommend.

The Ruth Hardy home is amazing! Instructions to enter the home are easy. It was spotlessly clean everywhere. The house is absolutely beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the rooms are large with lots of light. Everything you need is at this house as far as amenities. The claw foot bathtub was a dream. The pool was the perfect temperature and the backyard is beautiful, it's very large, very private and totally secure for our small dogs. They provide umbrellas near the lounge chair's by the pool as well as floats for the pool. There are a lot of places to sit outside in the shade. The kitchen is perfect to cook in and has everything you need. I highly recommend this home and we can't wait to go there again.

Overall Comment Four adults and two littles enjoyed a long weekend at Ruth Hardy Oasis, which was absolutely perfect for our needs. A beautiful, lush, green yard with plenty of shade during a heat wave in the desert. The house is super cozy and spacious and very well appointed - and a great kitchen for the cooks. The location is great, with quick access to Ruth Hardy Park, a lovely respite from the heat. We are looking forward to booking our next visit!

Our third and longest stay at this wonderful house. It's the perfect retreat and we can't get enough of it! However, there are a few things we feel important to point out and recommendations to make. There is a new child-proof fence available for the pool. For older guests, a hand rail at the pool steps should be installed. Getting in and out of the pool without one can be difficult and dangerous. ~ When staying more than a week, as we did, a second set of clean pressed sheets would be appreciated and should be provided without a required housecleaning fee of $250.00. ~ The sprinklers are on a wacky timer schedule, turning on and off throughout the day. Beware! It is easy to get sprayed without notice if you're spending any time on the lawn or in the beautiful gardens. ~ Otherwise, thank you to the owners and Acme!

This house is everything we needed for a family change of scenery. The house and the yard are 10x better than the listing photos. More than enough space for our 6 person family. The house had everything we could need to prepare meals at home and sleep comfortably. The large gated front and back yards were spacious and entirely secured for our dog. The back yard is much larger than pictured with sitting, eating and lounging spaces upon spaces. We especially enjoyed the landscaping and colorful flowers and the pool. The location was ideal for a short walk to the very clean Ruth Hardy Park and close walk or short drive to many restaurants, shops and coffee. Checkin and out were smooth and easy.

March Madness version 2021

Overall Comment We needed to change the scenery and get out of the winter weather in Northern CA, so we rented the Ruth Hardy Park Oasis property for 10 days in March. The location was perfect for us, right by the park and the play structure plus easy walking distance to downtown. While we did hear planes taking off at the airport, at no time did it bother us. The property is just beautiful. The front is separated with a privacy fence from the street, and the back yard is also fully enclosed. Plus, the property has an available child-deterrent pool fence that was easy to install and take down. The pool was at a perfect temperature and we enjoyed it several times. The pump is quite noisy (for our usual noise levels) and we chose not to use the sun chairs at the pool. Since there are two other seating areas further away from the pool, that was easy to do. We enjoyed the Meyer lemons and oranges, and the super fully equipped kitchen came with an electric lemon juicer that we much enjoyed. The house overall feels spacious, the bedrooms are large, and everything was clean and in working order. We will definitely be back at the Hardy Park Oasis!

Overall Comment For a safe holiday getaway, we booked the Ruth Hardy Oasis for kids and grandkids, and even mid-winter, it was a perfect house for pool-play all day, outdoor lunches, croquet on the lawn, and cozy evenings. The grounds are beautiful - the exterior photos do not do it justice. Serene, quiet, and private Things to know - the third bedroom is connected to the 2nd bedroom, good for small children. We never figured out how to work the TV's or the thermostat, best to get a primer up front.

We have rented in Palm Springs before and are. VRBO owners ourselves. We have high expectations for cleanliness and communication and this beautiful property did not disappoint. The house is perfect for a family- parents with grown kids and grandkids. We brought our dog, which was a first and the large yard and gated property meant it was safe and secure for all of us. Well appointed kitchen was great because with COVID we ate most meals at the house. We did venture into town and it was an easy, straight walk - less than a mile. When we did venture out (Chi Chis at the Avalon for dinner was awesome and COVID compliant) , so many restaurant options less than 10 minutes away, grocery and Walgreens are also close. The large park with walking paths and play areas is a half block away and perfect for early morning walks with or without your dog. Lots of outdoor seating, a gas grill and fire pit. Mean something for everyone after the sun goes down. We hope to return again ??

Overall Comment What a gem. Had a terrific time at Ruth Hardy Park Oasis. Great location, with easy access to downtown Palm Springs. Home was even better than we thought it would be, and we were expecting it to be pretty good. Great master with comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the backyard. Pool was perfect and it got a lot of use. Patio had great seating area. BBQ for steaks & burgers. Didn't need fire-pit, but it would be great during winter. We actually took our own "home of the movie stars" tour. Sinatra, Crosby & Hope all had homes in our neighborhood, the Movie Colony. Thanks to ACME, and especially Renee, for answering all of our questions. Reviews sold us on selecting Ruth Hard Park Oasis. Very professional. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

Overall Comment RHPO provides the perfect desert vacation experience. The house is well located with access to Ruth Hardy Park and easy walking distance to downtown’s shops and restaurants. The whole situation is comfortable and relaxing and provides the right amount of privacy without feeling closed in. The home flows easily from room to room, with a big open, well equipped kitchen that works well with a group, or just a couple. The gardens are really special, filled with colorful flowers, towering palms, amazing citrus trees and a nice, heated dipping pool. At night the dramatic lighting transforms the garden into a magical place. Though it was too cold during our visit to be outside at night, we plan to return in warmer weather to make full use of and enjoy the wonderful outdoor spaces.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The added touches of patio lighting and furniture were wonderful and relaxing. The house itself was decorated beautifully and had all you could need for vacation. My husband and I took our four grandchildren and there was plenty of room and always plenty of supplies. The pool, size and privacy really attracted us to this property. The communication with ACME House Co. was fantastic during the leadup to the stay, and during. We rented some baby equipment through a referral from Acme, and the company came and set it up prior to arrival, which made things super easy for us. The temperature ended up being 115 for part of the weekend so that was a suprise but the house's AC was fantastic and the pool was as cold as we needed it. We found the heat was easy to beat with those two amenities. The house was incredible and we loved our experience throughout.

We made our vacation plans late, and had a limited selection of houses available for the holiday weekend. That being said, the photos on your VRBO rental site looked cozy and spacious, the accommodations met all of our needs, and overall it looked like a wonderful, relaxing place. The temperature of the pool was outstanding, as was the overall privacy of the property. The biggest surprise was how nicely the kitchen was stocked with utensils and appliances. We truly had a wonderful weekend, and thank you for allowing us a later check-out!

We have a young boy and being close to the park was a plus, we went every morning and evening. It was so great to be close to the playground so he could run around. We also wanted a pool and some yard for playing. The pool, the fireplace, the whole house, loved it all, it was so comfortable. I only wish the weather was a bit warmer, it was really cold getting out of the pool! Biggest surprise was how big the house and yard were! The pictures were nice, but it really did not show how big the yard was and the rooms were. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat! In fact I think I will only use and (highly recommend using) Acme when we stay in Palm Springs again!

The reservations staff is very nice, easy to work with and very organized. Loved the electronic process. The house is very quiet, comfortable and the outdoor space is gorgeous. Loved the fresh lemons in the back yard! We would definitely rent this house again, in the warmer months. We really wished it had a spa or hot tub. We weren't aware that there was a code to the driveway gate so we were trying to use the code for the lockbox on the walkway gate. We arrived after dark. It's possible that I missed the driveway code info in one of the emails with the arrival instructions though.
