This in-town estate home features stunning mountain views, a gorgeous free form pool with integrated waterfall spa and a poolside living pavilion with al fresco dining space and an outdoor living room. You’ll also find an additional outdoor lounge centered on a custom fire feature. There are fruit trees, rolling green lawns, a bocce ball court, and a hard-lined barbecue station - so you’ll never have to worry about the tank running out. Shade umbrellas and chaise lounges dot the perimeter of the pool offering the perfect combination of full sun and shaded areas. There is something very special about Lions Gate Estate. It is the type of desert paradise guests return to year after year.

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
There is an easy elegance about this home. Impressive high-style design meets laid back and livable chic. Soothing color palette, comfortable designer furnishings, beautiful Hollywood-inspired artwork, six flat screen televisions and a media room created for hours of binge-watching pleasure. At the center of it all is the huge open entertaining area with 9 foot ceilings, a billiard room with its own huge flat screen television, sleek contemporary interior dining (seats 10-12) and a well-stocked chef’s kitchen that has been carefully space planned for group meal prep. This is the perfect holiday home - well suited for long weekends, week-long stays, by the month or by the season.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Like a specialty boutique hotel, all four sleeping quarters are beautifully decorated, feature hospitality-quality mattresses, flat screen televisions, and ample storage. The South Wing is spectacular - featuring three King Master Suites - each with a private en suite bath. On the north wing is the fourth master bedroom suite. It has direct pool access, a private en suite bath , and a walk in closet. One of the bedroom suites offers flexible sleeping arrangements - you can choose between having the room set ups as a king or two extra long twins.

THE LOCATION
Lions Gate Estate is centrally located in the heart of Palm Springs just one block from Ruth Hardy Park -- and less than a half mile from the world famous Palm Canyon Drive as it cuts through the Uptown Design District. Casual eateries, fine dining, coffee spots, art galleries and specialty boutiques are all within walking distance. The Convention Center, The Casino and the public tennis courts are also very close by. You'll be just minutes from movie theaters, museums, and live performance venue. You'll even find grocery stores, burger joints, sandwich shops and every other convenience imaginable, all within two miles from this gorgeous property.

This property was beautiful, large, cozy and well set up for indoor and outdoor entertaining. Location was great and walking distance/short uber ride to downtown east. Pool temperature was perfect. No additional fees for spa use. Pup friendly. Check out was easy - just remove trash. Only challenge was the A/C did not hit all rooms at night. Would definitely book again but I would pick a different room to sleep in ha ha

Lion's Gate Perfect for Us

We found Lion's Gate perfect for the 6 adults, 2 small children and 1 dog. The house has 3 bedrooms (each ensuite) on one side for mom/dad and the children, one for grandparents and then another bedroom (ensuite) on the other side for the single adult. The house was positioned so that by 3pm, there was sufficient shade covering the nice sized pool and a spacious, covered patio. The residential area is very nice and upscale. We felt extremely private, surrounded by a high wall/greenery and a gate onto the property. The dog could roam and explore without us closely behind (although we generally were). The area for the kitchen, dining and billiard table were together and very open for us to visit and move around. There was a comfortable TV room for the younger and a quiet living room (when needed) in another area for the older. We sat a couple of patio chairs on the front porch in the mornings for coffee and to see the beautiful views of the mountains and palm trees. The house provided everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved it! This is our second year using Acme House Co and they are great to work with. All are very gracious and accommodating. Even their instruction guide is pleasantly worded. Wonderful house and memories.

Terrific house in excellent condition. Very spacious and comfortable. En suite bathroom in each bedroom. Well-equipped kitchen. Immaculate landscaping. Lovely, resort-like backyard with beautiful pool and hot tub, lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. Private and quiet. Easy walking distance to downtown. The Acme people were responsive and friendly. I texted them once after office hours, expecting to not hear from them until the next morning, but received a reply within a few minutes and had my question answered immediately. My husband and I hosted our 3 millennials and their significant others at this fabulous house for a long weekend in January. The 4 en-suite bedrooms ensured lots of space and privacy for all. The kitchen was so well equipped! Yard, pool, spa, grill etc all made for a self-contained paradise. We cooked in, we walked to town to explore and dine out, we drove to Joshua Tree National Park for a day, we hiked in Indian Canyons. Memorable time in Palm Springs

Lions Gate Estate was exactly as described. The close proximity to shopping and restaurants made for a very relaxing trip. We walked into town multiple times for coffees, shopping, etc.. The billiard table, bocce ball and pool/hot tub allowed everyone to have fun while at the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were a nice size. The kitchen had plenty of plates and silverware for our party of eight. It was a perfect stay for our family. Acme house was great to work with. Lions Gate Estate was exactly as described. The close proximity to shopping and restaurants made for a very relaxing trip. We walked into town a multiple times for coffees, shopping, etc.. The billiard table, bocce ball and pool/hot tub allowed everyone to have fun while at the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were a nice size. The kitchen had plenty of plates and silverware for our party of eight. It was a perfect stay for our family. Acme house was great to work with. It's hard to find something that has not been mentioned previously in what a fabulous stay we had. House was exactly as described, if not better. From pre-arrival information to check in to lounging, relaxing, napping, grilling, etc by the pool in a secluded backyard. To some of the quietest and peaceful nights we have ever experienced on vacation. Loved the neighborhood. Ran several miles every morning in different directions trying to spot as many celebrities homes Enjoyed nighttime walks to downtown (fortunately the weather broke midweek and the evenings got cooler) Would certainly stay again.

The house was beautiful, clean, well taken care of, and very private. All of the bedrooms were huge and having private bathrooms in all of them was very convenient. The location was excellent - close to the airport and only a few blocks from lots of restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and responsive to any questions and concerns. My biggest complaint would be the noise restrictions. We weren’t throwing a party or anything crazy, we just like to have some background music. But we were told we could not have any music playing outside or we would risk a fine and eviction. Other than that, we had to be careful about leaving food out otherwise it’d be swarming with ants and the igniter on the stove was malfunctioning. Minor issues though. Overall a great house as long as you don’t mind keeping the noise down outside.

We loved how private this house was and the location was perfect! We had a few minor issues ( air conditioner stopped working, and we blew a fuse), but both issues were handled immediately. There were technicians at our house within 15 minutes of our call in both instances. The only negative about the house was that the bathrooms were extremely outdated. I would recommend updating all of the fixtures ASAP.

Old Hollywood luxury retreat

A wonderful stay in the movie colony of Palm Springs for our group of 4 adults & bichon dog. A sprawling clean well appointed home with many photos & posters of old Hollywood movie stars & movie memorabilia which enhanced our relaxing week in this beautiful home. All beds were comfortable with en-suite bathrooms that were perfect for our group. All bedrooms with pretty views of pool or mountain range & fruit trees. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware, glassware & utensils for all our needs. The walled property created privacy & spaciousness not only in the beautiful backyard but also in the front yard with pretty views of the San Jacinto mountain range. We had a question about the gas grill & umbrellas that blew over in the wind that were addressed promptly with a visit to the home to remedy. It was very convenient to downtown restaurants & shops to enjoy. Thanks for a great stay! We will look forward to returning!

We Had A Wonderful Time!

Overall Comment As an early 30th anniversary celebration, we treated our daughters and their husbands, along with two close friends, to a week in Palm Springs. Lions Gate Estate was a magnificent choice. Check-in was easy, the home was very clean and inviting, and the management company was very responsive (we thought the pool's heater wasn't working properly; a technician was at the house within an hour!). The kitchen is well-stocked, including with Keurig coffee pods. The master bedroom is huge, with a ton of closet space. One thing to watch out for: the floor in the shower is very slippery when wet (suggestion for the management company: a rubber mat to enhance safety). We didn't contact the property manager about this, but the temperature in the dining room and the adjoining bedroom was much warmer than in the rest of the house. The pool was wonderful! But it does not have a railing at the steps, so be very careful getting in and out. It also may need some new calking soon. And some of the furniture may need replacing. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood -- and that's just the way people there want it. It's close to downtown Palm Springs, and nothing is more than 30 minutes away (the Palm Springs area is larger than you think!). Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat!

A different place to shelter

So our goal was to find someplace our family could shelter-in-place safely and just have fun. Lion's gate was it! Located in the heart of the Movie Colony, the house is decorated in keeping with the retro style of the area. The pool was the perfect place for all of us (including our labradoodle Coco) to float, enjoy a beverage and forget about the stresses of the past few months. The overhang from the patio roof provided the perfect amount of shade onto the pool so we weren't in full sun all of the time. The property is entirely surrounded by a wall and greenery, including a gated driveway. It felt wonderfully private! The landscaping was a lovely backdrop and was just the right amount of space for Coco to play and explore. We hit a few snags during our week -- ants in the kitchen and pantry, and a broken air-con circulator in half of the house -- but the Property Manager Camille was quickly responsive and sensitive to our concerns about having people enter the house. The TVs were a bit frustrating to figure out at times, but there's a great selection of programming (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc.) so once you landed on a program all was good. The kitchen was well stocked, although with the ant issue it would have been nice to have a few more plastic containers. Loved having sun umbrellas and chairs to lounge on, but the umbrellas could use an update and heavier bottoms. With the slightest breeze the umbrellas would topple over and have obviously sustained some damage....

Lovely home for a relaxing getaway

The house was perfect, and the pool table/bocce court were added bonuses that made our trip more fun. I can’t say anything negative about the property or the property management company. Communication was great! However, there were a lot of things not working when we arrived. The concierge met us and was friendly, but he was unable to fix anything or handle contacting maintenance on our behalf. We were able to let ourselves in, and we ordered our own supplies for the house. Though it’s nice to be greeted, I would do away with the concierge or have them provide some services. Or call them “greeters” to avoid false expectations. That said, once the maintenance guy showed up, he was great! Fixed everything quickly and was professional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends!

Overall Comment The house met all our needs. Very clean The kitchen is well equipped. Split bedrooms were perfect for us. Lots of room for our party of 6. All glass sliding doors to patio area were very difficult to open. Rollers on bottom of all doors need to be replaced as you need to use two hands and body weights to open. The left side of house where kitchen, one bedroom and media room are was a little too warm. Bocce balls need to be replaced as they are cracked and holes in material they are covered with. If we were staying longer the AC would have to been fixed for our maximum comfort. On the whole this is a lovely gated house.

The online pictures don't do this place justice. Lions Gate Estate was the perfect choice for four couples on a Palm Springs getaway. Each couple had their own king suite with private bath. The place was so big we kept getting lost and laughing about it. The grounds were amazingly private. The best part was that we were in walking distance to town. Didn't even need Uber. Two blocks and we were at Ernest Coffee and Bootlegger Tikki right in the middle of the Uptown Design District. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

Great home for large family

Overall Comment I've stayed in 3 different homes now in Palm Springs and this has been the largest yet. I was very pleased with the pool, interior design, the backyard, and there was a ton of space for everyone to move around. The pool table was a huge hit and everyone had a great time. The only drawbacks would be that we did find ants in the pantry but that happens. Also the water from the faucets is very cloudy. This could be a neighborhood thing or just the house but management provided a brand new water filter jug that I'd recommend using. The water from the fridge is also filtered so that's ok too. Other than that the only other thing I'd highlight as a negative is the layout. The home is divided in 2 basically. You have 3 of the bedrooms on one side and a large living room that very few people used unless they were walking through it to the pool. Most activity happened in the kitchen/pool table area that is on the other side of the house with one bedroom. Ideally we'd want a more open floor plan but overall it was big enough to just stay on that one side most of the time. The kids played in the media room a lot which was nice since it was right by us in the kitchen when cooking. Leaving the baby in the bedroom though was not an option because it was too far away and you couldn't hear anything back there. I'd recommend bringing a baby monitor if you have an infant. The house was hard to cool at least on the west side of the house in the afternoons. You could cool down the east

Excellent staff, process and they made this stay easy. The home is fully equipped, a fantastic TV/game room for teens, and they are pet friendly. The pool, spa and grounds were immaculate, and the home was very well furnished and equipped. Especially the kitchen. Great location; quiet, close to downtown, and if you have a pet, Ruth Hardy Park is steps away. Great stay, and great property!!

A Wonderful Holiday

We would definitely rent this house again. The location was excellent and in a quiet neighborhood. We could walk to the Ruth Hardy Park, coffee shops, the uptown district and the art museum. If our seven family members had not planned to visit and hike at Indian Canyon, Joshua Tree, Salton Sea and other nearby sites, we would have had no need for cars. As for the house itself, it was in excellent condition. The backyard was very welcoming--nice patio furniture, a well-maintained heated pool and a hot tub--even a bocci court. The furniture in the house looked quite new, and the house was spacious enough to accommodate all of us quite comfortably. The kitchen was well-equipped, great for cooking and eating in. The pool table was a great added feature. I want to thank Cesar Arce for his quick responses to the minor adjustments we needed. He was really a jewel and always had a smile. In all the management was very attentive.

We Felt Like Movie Stars!

Clean, comfortable, gorgeous. We really did feel like we were on the set of Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous. All the Vintage Hollywood posters, the photos of the movie stars, and the overall feel of celebrity status. All of us had our own master suite. We felt like movie stars. The swimming pool was so beautiful and the mountain views were really inspiring. And now we are all boccee ball pros! We will be back!

We Will Be Back!

The online pictures don't do this place justice. Lions Gate Estate was the perfect choice for four couples on a Palm Springs getaway. Each couple had their own king suite with private bath. The place was so big we kept getting lost and laughing about it. The grounds were amazingly private. The best part was that we were in walking distance to town. Didn't even need Uber. Two blocks and we were at Ernest Coffee and Bootlegger Tikki right in the middle of the Uptown Design District. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

The attention to design and detail is marvelous (my personal favorites are the vintage Esther Williams posters - LOVE!) and is a true homage to the Old Hollywood glamour of Palm Springs and the Movie Colony neighborhood. Great Photo Session at Lions Gate Estate

This place is gorgeous! I was here for a photo shoot. The grounds are stunning, the mountain views are breath taking and the interior design is jaw drop gorgeous. All huge rooms, 9 foot ceilings, beautifully furnished. Loved all the vintage photos of Hollywood stars and all the vintage movie posters. If you are into the connection between Hollywood and Palm Springs from back in the day - you are going to love this place.

Sensational! True Luxury Living!

We loved our stay at Lions Gate Estate. Amazing location right in town. 5 minute stroll to all the restaurants, bars and shops on Palm Canyon Drive. Around the corner from Ruth Hardy Park. We are tennis players so big bonus for us. And the house itself was over the top luxury! The kids spent a lot of time in the media room, playing billiards, and bocce ball. Us adults - well we did a lot of night swimming, hanging in the firepit lounge and drinking wine. 16 Thumbs Up!

We had the privilege of spending the afternoon at Lions Gate Estate as part of a Palm Springs Familiarization Tour. It is gorgeous. This property really captures the connection to vintage Hollywood. For me the highlights were the media room with all the vintage movie posters, the poolside outdoor living pavilion, and the art installation that tells the story of Frank Sinatra. And yes the Marilyn Monroe-kissed master suite was simply gorgeous.
