This classic Alexander home (circa 1958) has been lovingly restored - respecting its architectural pedigree while updating it for the way we live today. The open concept floor plan and original post and beam ceilings have been preserved while adding modern conveniences like well-appointed kitchen, deluxe body spray shower systems, high speed internet access, five flat screen televisions, updated heating and cooling, hi-style designer furnishings and art. The owners work in the LA Music Industry and enjoy the home for their own use - but are now sharing it as a vacation home rental on a limited basis. You’ll love the cool music industry art that is displayed throughout the house.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
This property captures the magic of Southern California glamour. The mountain views are simply spectacular. The backyard itself is heavenly—so private, spacious, and well-planned. The Private pool yard has a brand new pool and spa, plus a brand new BBQ with a built-in bar, an amazing fire pit, and a covered outdoor dining pavilion, surrounded by chaise lounges and a green lawn area that’s great for kids.

** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. Spa heating is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Gorgeous in its simplicity, as Mr. Alexander and his architects Palmer and Krisel intended, you’ll find clean lines, an open concept floor plan and spectacular walls of glass that let the light pour in and reveal beautiful outdoor living spaces. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other - providing enough space for your entire group to gather, relax and enjoy. The new center island kitchen is stunning with stainless steel appliances including a gas stove. Perfect for group and individual meal prep. The mid mod-inspired furnishings give the place a retro chic look while being very comfortable at the same time.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
All of the sleeping quarters feature comfortable hotel-quality mattresses, ample storage, and flat screen televisions. The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed, an en suite bath and a sitting area. The two Queen guest rooms share easy access to the spa-like hall bath. The separate king-sized casita (guest house) offers direct pool access, a wet bar with breakfast counter, a wine fridge plus a game table that doubles as a great work space for those who need to mix a little business with pleasure.

THE LOCATION
This Mid Mod paradise rests on an oversized, corner lot at the entrance to a quiet residential cul-de-sac. A big plus is the unobstructed west mountain views and the fact that it’s an easy stroll to the Saturday morning Farmers Market, and the Camelot Theater - our independent art house that hosts many of the famous Film Festivals throughout the year. For The Record is part of Palm Springs History in that it is located in the heart of one of our most significant Midcentury Neighborhoods. Sunmor Estates is a well-known central Palm Springs neighborhood comprised of a remarkably intact collection of mid-century homes built in the late 50s and early 1960s. Grocery stores, casual eateries, fine dining establishments and other neighborhood conveniences are all close by. Bustling Downtown, the Uptown Design District and the South Palm Springs Business District are all just a short drive away.

• 100% Refund for Cancellations within 48 Hours of Making Booking - ACME House Company will process a 100% refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of making a booking.
• Greater than 60 Days Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive 100% Refund of all Reservations Charges
• Greater than 48 Hours from Booking and Between 30 Days - 59 Days Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive a refund of all Reservations Charges (Except Booking Fee).
• Greater than 48 Hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 Days Prior to Arrival Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges (Except Booking Fee).

An amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at On the Record for our work retreat! First off, the architecture, landscaping and decor were so fun, and really gave us the true Palm Springs experience. We also loved lounging around the pool reading, enjoying the cool outdoor fire feature, and using the hot tub (morning, noon and night). The property was clean and well-maintained, and the communication from Acme was perfectly timed and thorough. Having 4 spacious rooms and 3 bathrooms was a huge plus for sharing the house with co-workers. Highly recommend Acme and On the Record!

A Wonderful Experience

For The Record was the prefect place for our girls getaway weekend. The house was extremely clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and modern. We enjoyed all the amenities that the back yard had to offer and the view could not have been better. We loved that is was super close to the airport and walking distance to the Saturday morning Farmers Market. The beds were very comfortable and the house was stock with a great supply of blankets to wrap up in. Acme was very responsive to all our calls and text. We would not hesitate to book this house again.

This is a wonderful house with enough space for 8. The pool and hot tub were so much fun, although be aware that you have to pay extra to have them heated during your stay! Centrally located in Palm Springs, but close enough to the airport that noise could be an issue for some. We did not notice any noise from inside the home during the nights. Would definitely love to stay here again!

What an amazing place. Lovely accommodation and great for our family. Plenty of space and the Mountain View was beautiful. We didn’t realize we had a “casita” until our second day but there is basically a studio attached to the house. We had a lot of issues with the spa though. Even with several calls to the property management (they were super responsive) we still did not have a functioning spa.

This Airbnb is absolutely gorgeous. We felt right at home. The primary bathroom and shower is one of the best ones I have seen. The water temperature appears on the screen of the showers, so you know when the water is just right for you. The Acme company was very accommodating and the communication with them was very good.

The outside where we spent most of our time was incredible. The listing pics didn't show a hot tub or a beautiful outdoor cooking area. We were surprised and pleased to see both. Perfect weekend getaway

We planned a relaxing girls weekend for my bachelorette. The house was absolutely perfect for our group of 9! Gorgeous mid-century modern with tasteful and stylish decor. Wood beam ceilings that extend into the backyard offering plenty of shade. Walk into the house and the back wall is all windows and slider opening to the backyard. As soon as you step out, you are greeted by a pool with ample seating and umbrellas. The fire pit was a relaxing space for a nightcap and conversation. The primary suite is huge and the en suite is luxurious. I would highly recommend this house. It is tasteful with high-end touches, yet comfortable for a large family/group. All you need is to bring your bags! We will definitely be back.

Love this place. Very clean, stylish, and comfortable. We stayed at For the Record during a record heat wave (110 during the day— in October) and were worried because other reviews mentioned AC issues. We had zero issues and found the house to be very cool and comfortable. The kitchen was another highlight, very well-stocked and easy to navigate. We were cooking 3 meals a day for 8 people and had everything we needed.

My partner and I joined 3 other couples for a 5-day vacation at 721 Morsun Circ. The home was perfectly detailed for a group of this size. The home has been completely updated and the outside spaces (pool, dining, fire-pit and even ping pong table were perfectly situated for enjoyment. We cooked in each night and had wonderful meals on the outside dining table, great conversations around the fire pit, and of course pool time each day.

We (family of five with 8 year old twins and a curious 6 year old) had a great time. The pool was fantastic, as well as the great kitchen. The property manager contacted us about an issue with the refrigerator before we even got to the house, and when we got there a gift basket was waiting for us. The property manager was also quick to react when we couldn’t find the garbage bin. All in all- a perfect place, located in a quiet neighborhood, beautifully modeled and decorated. Would absolutely recommend.

We just wrapped up a week-long stay at For the Record. It is a lovely house, stocked with everything we needed for a successful and relaxing vacation. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. We appreciated the little extras, like a turntable and album collection. We loved listening to great music as we played games during the heat of the day! Definitely added to our experience. After being stuck at home for three+ months during Covid, this was just what we needed to safely spread out and enjoy a change of scenery. Highly recommend!!

Overall Comment Our 3rd vacation rental in Palm Springs has been the best so far! This was our first rental with Acme, but it won’t be the last. We needed a replacement rental at almost the last minute when part of our group had to cancel their trip. I found this rental and a rep (Renee) actually called me to discuss. She was great! Really friendly and helpful. Acme provided all the info we needed before we arrived, and a concierge met us at the house as well! All info about the house was in a book inside as well. I called the “help” line about a minor issue and spoke to someone right away. She resolved our problem instantly. The house itself was exactly as advertised...very clean, very well stocked, and the view of the mountains was incredible! We will definitely try to book through Acme in the future!

Super clean. Very Private. Felt like a small private boutique hotel but very homey at the same time. The beds were so comfortable and the casita is amazing. We spent every night around the firepit sipping wine and laughing. Lots of laughing.We will be back.

This property is amazing - clean, roomy, comfortable and in a perfectly central location. There were three couples out for the weekend and we had tons of room. We walked to the main area for dinner two nights and around in the mornings but mostly hung out at the house and enjoyed the pool, BBQ, fire pit and of course the RECORDS! I would highly recommend For The Record....I just hope it's not booked the next time I want to go.

What an awesome house! Very cute, so trendy, very clean, everything easily accessible. We stayed for 4 days and hardly left the house, Acme provided all the information we needed plus some recommendations for things to do, places to eat in the area - we were in luxury the whole time. We had plenty of amenities as well, amazing central air, and I will definitely be recommending this house to more people in the future.

Overall Comment We rented For the Record for several days for a family getaway and it was absolutely perfect! The set-up of the home worked so well for my family, with each of us having our own room and the casita was perfect for my brother - it was like his own little apartment. The pool and patio area was well used during our stay, with coffee on the patio in the morning and an afternoon and/or evening swim in the inviting pool. Since we were in Palm Springs in June, we definitely needed the pool. The home itself is gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed the open layout. Another plus was the location - close to the airport and shopping or restaurants. One of my favorite evenings was when we grilled steaks, drank wine, and listened to some of the records available with the home. We will most certainly stay in this home again!

Better than Expected!

Our recent stay at For the Record was nearly perfect! The pool was pleasantly warm, the kitchen and decor nicer than the photos. Everything was new, clean, and the kitchen was equipped with everything from a coffee grinder to a lemon juice extractor (I did not even know such a device existed)! Beds were very comfie, the bathrooms were spacious and well appointed. Ample towels (including pool towels), toiletries (shampoo, dishwasher tabs, etc), and everything necessary for a week-long vacation. The casita was very private and spacious. The physical location of the property didn't seem very walkable, but a short drive to downtown Palm Springs, Ralphs, and a five minute drive to the airport. I was very impressed with everything about this rental and would not hesitate to recommend this property and the Acme House Company to friends and colleagues. Many thanks!

Clean and modern with a Palm Springs vibe, lots of wide open spaces to hang out with the whole group. TVs in every room. The pool is large and deep, and I loved laying out on the real grass lawn out back. The bathrooms are really nice, and the master has a big, beautiful standing tub in it. There's very little street noise and when you're in the casita out back, you can't hear anything going on in the main house. I also loved the evening views of the mountains from the back patio. Really nice neighborhood and an easy 20-minute walk to downtown area. I'll be back for sure!

Amazing Mid Century Get Away!

Beautiful Mid Century modern home with all the upgrades of today. The showers are beautiful and big. The beds were more comfortable than mine at home too. The neighborhood was quiet and still close to town. We were able to get a Lyft easily. The property has a beautiful backyard with an outdoor bbq and fire pit, lots of space and a great pool, with backyard privacy. Loved the nice mountain views from the backyard. We had a great stay and the home met all our needs!

Our family has been going to Palm Springs for years and were lucky enough to find this property. With 8 of us in the house it was more than enough space. With 180 degree mountain views from the pool & indoor outdoor space it made for the perfect escape from the city. Super close to everything if you have to leave the house. This property is amazing! From the second you drive up to the house, you feel Palm Springs! The house is clean, bright, spacious and decorated perfectly. Our goal was to decompress after a long year and that's what we did. We BBQ'd, swam and were close enough to walk to main area so we didn't have to get in our car once.
