Chi Chi House - Huge Private Pool Yard!

We absolutely loved the location of the property and it was a really great mid century modern feel. We enjoyed the backyard and pool area very much. The property management was so easy to contact and they always responded promptly to any questions I had. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a great place to get away to in Palm Springs!

Great spacious home and very clean. Very easy self check in. Beautiful back yard and many areas to sit and relax. The bar was fun. We really appreciated there were not any requirements for check out. Only complaint is the mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable and water pressure extremely, very, low which made showering difficult. But would still stay there again, thank you for hosting us

We were a party of six gals in Palm Springs for a long weekend and Chi Chi house did not disappoint! It was well presented in pics and descriptions and house was everything as advertised. We enjoyed the Chi Chi memorabilia as well around the sunken wet bar! The management brought extra fans to put in our bedrooms to keep the airflow as Palm Springs in July can be toasty. The only thing I feel was a miss for me was the lack of hooks or towel bars in "blue" bathroom. Hard to hang wet bath towels, robe or to dry wet bathing suits. Other than that I would definitely stay and recommend the Chi Chi for a Palm Springs "mid century"experience!! Oh, the pool! Plenty big for 6 gals with floaties and it being salt water made it more enjoyable then chlorine!

The home was spacious and three separate bedrooms worked out great. Pool area was great as well and we used the grill available. The kitchen had all the utensils necessary. Really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely accommodation, each bedroom has its own bathroom which was really nice for our group. The pool was clean and the water temperature was inviting. The Kitchen is well-equipped.

Loved our stay at the Chi Chi House!! This house has such a great layout, the bar is unique and I really loved the history about the original owners. The backyard and pool are beautiful, and the location is close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Can’t wait to go back!

We have stayed at the Chi house on several occasions and this stay was just as comfortable as before. The communication, text messages, phone calls, and overall responsiveness from ACME staff is and has been wonderful at each step. If you haven't stayed at the house, the outdoor space (also recently painted), the kitchen is well equipped, and the space layout between the bedrooms which all have private baths made this a perfect stay for us and our friends during 14 day Christmas Holiday.

The living/dining area was perfect for 6 people. We had room for everyone to spread out. The bar area was wonderful, we haven't had that kind of arrangement in any other rental. If I built another house, I would use the large common area as a blueprint. I did adjust to the road noise at night. Sunrise is a busy street. The swimming pool was one of the nicest we've had. We loved the history of the house. Would rent again.

The place was super clean, the house abs grounds were just as described and in the pictures. The hosts were great communicators, and responded quickly when the pool heater wasn’t working. We would definitely stay here again!

We especially enjoyed the layout of the backyard with the pool, lots of places to sit and a covered section for when we wanted to sit in the shade. The house is centrally located, and it was easy to go just about anywhere. We also enjoyed taking walks in the beautiful neighborhood. Check-in and check-out were easy. We hope to go back next year!

Our group of 5 had an incredible time at Chi Chi house with all of its unique decor and fun spaces to gather, we enjoyed every minute and wish we had more time. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need, the pool was perfectly refreshing and the layout of the house was perfect to give all guests their privacy when desired. When I had a concern about the pool, Acme was instantly attentive to the ask. Great management company, great property!

Five adult friends escaped from Los Angeles for the weekend and had a great time. The house is just as advertised and fully of character. This is a lovely and fun home. The pool was great - but, the sunshine and secluded backyard was amazing. The beds were so comfortable! The kitchen is fully supplied and was easy to cook out meals. We like having recycling too. Great time to read, relax, and quietly chat with one another. If you are someone who does not like music or noise of anykind, this is the place to stay. There are strict rules about noise of anykind.The street and air conditioning noises are pretty noticable, especially without being able to play my classical music.

Overall Comment Great house for a classic PS experience. We had pretty bad weather for half our trip but luckily there is a covered area by the pool to let us be outside despite the rain. We had an issue with a coffee maker that didn't work, but it was replaced very quickly by the housing mgt team. A bit expensive for a couple, but would be very reasonable for 4 or more adults. Location is about a large city block distance to a plaza w stores, including a supermarket and some casual restaurants. One negative would be that there is some noise you can hear from cars/trucks rumbling past at night, even in the back room.

Overall Comment The house is fun, clean and comfortable. We had an issue with the main shower that was fixed right away. The fireplace did not work and the power was off the morning we checked out so we could not prepare breakfast. Also, no three pronged outlets so could not charge our computers. Otherwise, it was great!

The house and pool were beautiful and as advertised. Perfect for us for a weeklong stay with my dog. There is an added pet fee of $150 which I hadn't noticed. No problem, but was tricky getting in touch with them to tell them I had a dog in the house. Palm Springs has STRICT vacation rental regulations and the rules are posted all over the property, so you don't forget! Somewhat of a damper, but not the fault the owner. We swam, relaxed, cooked dinner and just chilled out and a really nice time. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent and Exceptional!! The Chi Chi house was comfortable and maintained the 1950-60’s vibe. Having 3 bedrooms with their own bathroom was a huge bonus. Everyone had their own space. Loved the pool and appreciated the covered area when it was hot. See you again Palm Springs / Chi Chi House!!

The house isn’t anything fancy by today’s over glorified standards, but it is perfectly nostalgic and in fabulous condition. The concierge process I had initially thought was strange for check in however, it was fantastic to get a walk through and history with the house. It felt like a museum tour going through the chi chi house and rat pack history of the home. It was fun thinking we could be sitting where frank sinatra or dean martin could have sat, or swam in a pool that was the place of swinging parties. The salt water pool is the perfect size for a party of 6 and was divine in the weather we had in late July. I can’t imagine. Better place for us to have spent my husband’s 40th birthday. The only thing we hadn’t accounted for was the noise restrictions. The lack of music made it a little awkward at times. I understand why the rule exists, but it seemed a bit extreme. Also- it’s not anything the property could change as it was a local city ordinance.

We had a wonderful time at the Chi chi house. The backyard is beautiful and we spent most of Saturday out there in the pool. I adore the midcentury decor and the layout of the house was perfect for us. The kids stayed in the "maids quarters" and my sister and I shared the master bedroom. Grandma stayed in a beautiful room in the front. Love the unique bathrooms- nice hot water for showers! The gentleman who checked us in and gave us a tour was very nice. Location is fabulous and we ended the stay with breakfast at Elmer's (which is only 0.5 mi away). Highly recommend the Chi chi house for your next family vacation.

Terrific home in a great location near great restaurants and bars. The home is in terrific condition, with great amenities. Superb place to chill by the pool, have a BBQ and evening cocktails. We had six stay comfortably - plenty of space and room for all. Highly recommend this to folks who are seeking relaxing time away in the sun! The owner is a pleasure to work with too!

Very special property that was perfect for our group of Mid Mod design and architecture fans. Loved being able to walk to great restaurants and night spots. Spent all our days by the huge kidney shaped pool. Yard was so private. Super great value. The place was clean, comfortable well maintained, and has a very hip 1950s Palm Springs vibe.

We would recommend ACME House Co. without hesitation, and appreciate that they made the rental experience very easy! We picked this property because we liked the location, close to downtown, and also, because the house had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We were surprised at how close to the road the home was. An inventory list for the kitchen would be helpful as we hunted a lot to discover if we had what we needed when preparing meals. Otherwise, the house was large, comfortable, and the backyard was beautiful. Also, there are 10 entrances to this house, with 3 entrances at front of house; but no alarm system. This was concerning for us, especially the entrance off the carport into our grandson's bathroom.

We came to get our Modernista Fashionista on - and Chi Chi House did not disappoint. This very cool property was like stepping into a time capsule. The pink kitchen is a hoot. The photos on the wall that tell the story of the Chi Chi Lounge from the owner's family perspective was amazing! The art in the house was so cool. Vintage! Vintage! Vintage.... with a quirky 1980s Palm Springs flair. When we weren't totally tuned into looking at all the old Palm Springs photos we were hanging out at the huge pool. And the yard was so private. Yes. We took our tops off and giggled the whole time. This house is so Palm Springs! We loved this place! We will be back!

Loved staying in this cool midcentury home. So much history. We love architecture and design so this house was perfect for us. We felt like we were on a 1950s television show. Gorgeous private back yard. Huge pool. Staying at the Chi Chi House was like stepping back in time. The house is straight out of the 1950s - a little dated but in a very cool, authentic midcentury way. The place was clean, comfortable and our group had a great time. Thanks Acme House Co. We would rent this house again.

Some friends and I wanted to escape the dreary Seattle weather and found this property and WOW! This house was PERFECT for us! It was a 5 minute cab ride from the airport and within walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, bars, and shopping. There are so many great bars and restaurants nearby The rooms are so comfortable and relaxing which was perfect after a day BBQing & playing ping pong by the pool. It felt like we could spend all day by that pool! And at night there's a cute little fire pit out there too! Talking to the owner and scheduling the trip was fantastic too. She was super easy to talk to and work with. I cannot recommend this house enough...and am planning on going back again!

Terrific home in a great location near great restaurants and bars. The home is in terrific condition, with great amenities. Superb place to chill by the pool, have a BBQ and evening cocktails. We had six stay comfortably - plenty of space and room for all. Highly recommend this to folks who are seeking relaxing time away in the sun! The owner is a pleasure to work with too!
