Lots of space inside and out! Free flowing floor plan including a large living room with a stacked stone fireplace, a family dining room that easily fits 6-8 plus an all-season sunroom that opens up to the gorgeous private yard with heated pool, integrated spa, fire pit lounge, covered outdoor living pavilion and absolutely stunning west facing mountain views.

This home is named for the majestic Canary Island Date Palm Trees that tower over the lush and beautifully landscaped property. The owners use this home themselves often - so they have included all the essentials like high speed internet access, 3 flat screen televisions, very comfortable midcentury-inspired furnishings and hotel-quality mattresses. This is a very stylish yet livable, care-free home where you can put your feet up, relax and not worry about a thing.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
Large sliding glass doors at the back of the sun room reveal the awesome resort-style pool yard and spectacular mountain views. The back yard is completely walled and gated for privacy. The recently upgraded sundrenched pool and spa are surrounded by chaise lounges, occasional seating, shade umbrellas, a fire pit lounge and a covered outdoor living room. There is a gas barbecue and al fresco dining - perfect for poolside dinners “at home.”

** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. Spa heating is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Retro chic style meets comfort and convenience in this sprawling ranch home. The free flow floor plan provides the perfect space for gathering as a group as well as slipping away for some alone time. The living room, dining area and sun room are all open to each other. The two full bathrooms and the well stocked kitchen are really cool throw backs. Like well-preserved time capsules, these spaces are designed with colors that were most sought after when the home was built in 1956, including pink, yellow and blue. A nod to the historic times of post-war happy colors. We love the kitchen where stainless steel appliances mix with hand-carved and custom painted cabinets. The big bonus is the huge game room - a completely happy space with comfy lounge seating and a ping pong table. Don’t forget to bring your vinyl. The owners are big music fans who just added a new stereo cabinet.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Both bedrooms feature hotel-quality mattresses, ample storage, and flat screen televisions. Each captures the nostalgic vibe of yesteryear. King-sized beds, upholstered headboards, and fluffy white cloud-like bedding. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself sleeping late or retreating to your sleeping quarters for some restful down time. The sun room has a nice napping sofa and Asian-inspired rice paper doors that can be closed for privacy.

THE LOCATION
The home is nestled on a beautiful oversized lot in the Sunrise Park neighborhood. This is a quiet residential area of mostly midcentury properties with great curb appeal. The homes here were built between the late 1950s and early 1970s - so it will be forever tied to the post-war building boom when life was simpler, neighbors waived hello, and evening strolls were an important part of life. Today, Sunrise Park continues its legacy as one of our most sought after neighborhoods in town - perfect for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation steeped in the midcentury magic of Palm Springs. Sunrise Park is centrally located - close to neighborhood conveniences like grocery stores, sandwich shops, burger joints and coffee houses.

Had a great stay over the 4th of July holiday with view of the fireworks from the pool. Wish we were able to hangout at the pool with a bit of music, but that is a PS thing. Beautiful backyard, private and overall quiet neighborhood. The house was spotless and included all the basics. Very comfortable stay and the A/C kept it cool in the insane heat! Excellent communication from the management company and they even had a little surprise for our dog upon arrival.

The home's location was very central and convenient, and the neighborhood delightfully quiet. Walking the dog throughout the neighborhoods was a daily treat for the eyes with all of the stunning homes in the area. The pool and hot tub were refreshing, and we enjoyed a lot of sunshine in the middle of January! We really loved everything about this property. The vibe, the location, the cleanliness, the amenities! We would come back to the same home. The only reason I did not give five stars is that the hot tub/ jacuzzi only worked one time after the maintenance worker came to try and trouble shoot. If that was fixed it would be 100!

House is quite large for only 2 bedrooms. The pool and hot tub are great and just what you want in Palm Springs. Home layout is interesting, and the extra table tennis room is fun. There is a mix of modern and original features in the house - maybe not what I would do with it but it works well for a rental. The neighborhood is great and very quiet. Nice to walk around and look at mid century architecture. A few upgrades could help - new carpets in the bedrooms, any lighting at all in the driveway, and update the showers.

Right from the check in process, where the AC temp was set perfectly, and jazz music on the TV, walking in from the crazy madness of air travel and heat shock (we’re from Canada), we just felt so at ease. The property is wonderful, as described, the property manager texted us right away providing a quick way to communicate and the rest was just great, Other than food, the house is fully stocked with plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, pots and pans. All the reviews say the bathrooms are outdated - this is true - but totally functional. Super clean and organized. Great stay, thank you!

House was great. Kitchen was well stocked. Good instructions for using the facilities. Backyard was fabulous. Great for pets. They had a whole dog package set up with treats etc. Very efficient communication and always courteous and polite. Only sad thing for us is that there is no outside music allowed at any time or you get fined $500 and evicted. I understand that this is a palm springs city ordinance but it’s definitely something to be aware of when staying in Palm Springs. But Acme company and the house were fab. Highly recommend.

The home itself was incredibly comfortable and the backyard pool area couldn't have been better especially considering the heat of the desert in the middle of summer it had plenty of shade. This was our third trip to Palm Springs and Canary Palms was a fantastic home for our stay. The house was spotless, beautiful and cozy for our December trip. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and loved that they were saline. The entire backyard is a gorgeous oasis. The ping pong table was a ton of fun. Loved the dinners we enjoyed at the dining table and that fireplace was amazing! Great great location! Exactly where we love to be each time. Acme was so responsive to any questions we had! We reviewed your comments about carpet and bathrooms with the property owners and are happy to share a bit more information. The carpets are newer and high quality with upgraded padding. The bathrooms are vintage original in keeping with Palm Springs mid century style, but were restored in 2017. Thank you for the feedback.

Overall Comment We loved our stay at Canary Palms. After looking for a home that is truly pet friendly we found it here! It was so relaxing to wake up and put on our swimsuits and go jump in the pool while our pups relaxed on the lawn. The home stayed nice and cool on the very hot days of our trip. The location of this house is perfect and in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to everything for food and fun. Very clean home with all the essentials provided. We felt so comfortable here and would love to return.

Overall my family had an amazing trip. The house was clean and beautiful, the pool was wonderful, and everything was clean and to our liking. They were one or two things that I needed handled by management and they were a little more difficult to contact, but once I got them on the phone they were very helpful. Overall Comment Loved the backyard, perfect for relaxing, hot tub, the the areas to sit at, the floats for the pool, the ping pong table, the sun room. Place was super spacious for the 4 of us which we liked since we didn't go anywhere because of Covid. Minor issues, but Acme was quick to responded. Would I stay again? Yes, and no. Acme has tons of beautiful places to stay at and would like to try some different spots. Customer service was very good as well.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was stylish and clean. We loved the backyard and living room set up. The record player in the living room was a nice touch. While the kitchen was well stocked the home would be elevated if the same thought/decor was put into it as the rest of the house - for example it would have been nice to have a full set of outdoor shatterproof dishes and glasses to use by the pool (though some were provided). Overall however the place was great and we would definitely stay again.

Amazing vacation in quality vacation rental home.

Overall Comment I cannot overstate how wonderful this home is, and how wonderful the location is. We went into town to dine on 4 of the 7 nights nights, as it was only a 5 minute drive to the restaurants, clubs and markets. The home was lovely, with quality furnishing, and all of the amenities we needed. The rooms are sizable and the converted garage / games room, with ping pong table, cocktail area and generously sized loungers was awesome. The furniture is top notch, the fireplace huge and stunning, and the outdoor pool and spa area is to die for. The Gorgeous massive outdoor fire pit is magnificent. We really enjoyed the quirky original touches such as the Thermador wall heater in the 3/4 bath, as well as the lovely original wall oven and original artwork on the kitchen cabinets. We marveled a the mature desert landscaping in the front and the vivid green lawns and olive trees among many other varieties in the back. The mountain views are lovely to the West and we loved to sit in the spa and watch the moon rise to the East after sunset. The hummingbirds darting around the beautiful floral plants along the fence-line was spectacular. The privacy is top notch, and you can feel completely comfortable in any personal backyard situation you can imagine. We highly rate Canary Palms and recommend anyone considering it to book without hesitation. We loved it, and long for our next getaway. We would certainly stay there again.

Overall Comment We loved our time at Canary Palms. The pool and spa were perfect and the yard was a joyful place for our dogs. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, and we really loved the patio room off the master bedroom. The kitchen is well stocked, and the living room was beautiful and relaxing. Finally there is the ping-pong room, which was an added fun touch! Great experience all around, and the communication and attentiveness of the management was exceptional.

I wanted to take my Mom to Palm Springs on a budget. We just wanted an amazing few days at a pool house without breaking the bank. Canary Palms was a great find. Super value priced during the Summer of Love promo by Acme. The bedrooms and bathrooms were mediocre but the beds themselves were very comfortable. My Mom says she had the best sleep ever. We loved the ping pong room and the pool / spa. The yard was gorgeous and the mountain views stunning. Recommend for a great value.

Pink, yellow and blue were some of the most sought-after colors at the time. We hope our guests understand design of mid-century and the value of preserving history with these design elements. Canay Palms soooothing...

My friend and I just needed a break from LA. No work, no pressure of not-getting-it -all-done, traffic..everything. The minute we drove into PS, it started to melt away and then when we saw the house Canary Palms the 'healing' began. There is something just so tranquil about the place. Easy. And I just wanted to stay in the pool the whole time- fabulous pool, too. The house was so spacious. My friend and I didn't see each other for ages, she just did her thing, and me, mine. The best part were the beds. I was skeptical, having spent most of my adult life in hotels all over the world, in every kind of bed. But this bed was like falling into a cloud. I slept! and I'm a bad sleeper. It was over all too fast, but we'll be back. Thx Canary Palms, and the kind welcome from Acme. Joy E

Canary Palms Calm

Overall Comment We just needed a few days away from LA, an escape from constant tings and beeps of work-stress. The house was tranquil and immaculate and very professionally handled. Our 'concierge' appeared only moments after we landed to show us around. Everything worked out beautifully. I am a bad sleeper and the beds were divine. The locationwas perfect-we met up with several friends and every time it seemed we were only a few minutes away from everything.(With, of course, NO traffic). If you like Mexican food, don't miss El Mirasol..delish. We took a jigsaw puzzle and just let the stress melt away, then spent hours in the fabulous pool and hot tub-where you can see the mountains. I wish it were a month...maybe next time.

Overall Comment Canary Palms is a lovely home. We were thrilled with the house, yard and pool the second we arrived. The landscaping is gorgeous, the pool is fantastic and the home is beautifully decorated, we immediately felt like we were home. The home had everything our family of four needed for a week long stay, the bedrooms were very comfortable as was the living room area. We loved swimming all day and even enjoyed some night time swims along with sitting by the fire pit and star gazing. Everyone at Acme we’re so kind and beyond helpful, we truly felt cared for, loved the quality of service they provided. If I had 1 ctritique it would be for some updating to the bathrooms, somehow I feel that this may happen in due time. :) We absolutely plan on returning to Canary Palms andxare counting the days until we can visit again.

Sweet comfortable home with a stunning back yard. Retro chic with a cool Palm Springs feel. Loved loved loved the stack stone fireplace. The kitchen cabinets at first seemed whacky crazy but by the end of our stay we all came to think they were so cool. Each cabinet door is a custom piece of artwork. Loved the game room! And we really enjoyed that there were so many different spaces to hang out.

Very nice, comfortable, clean home on a quiet street. We stay in a lot of vacation rentals and found Acme to be way better than most management companies. The two huge palm trees are gorgeous. We loved the mountain views from the pool. We took one star off because we would like to have been closer to the main strip. But everything else was just great.
