In September, the Greater Palm Springs vacation rental market experienced a drop in demand due to lingering high temperatures and the end of summer travel. With fewer tourists, property managers faced increased competition and pressure to offer discounts to attract bookings. Additionally, wildfires and poor air quality impacted tourism and discouraged last-minute stays.

 

Key challenges included:

  • Off-season dip in bookings due to heat and fewer travelers.
  • Increased competition among vacation rentals, driving prices down.
  • Environmental factors like wildfires and air quality concerns.
  • Limited events to draw tourists before peak season.

Despite the challenges, ACME performed extremely well against the competition:

  • 37.2% Higher Occupancy
  • 7.3% Higher ADR
  • 45.6% Higher RevPar
