Palm Springs Pride Festival & Parade

Palm Springs Pride

Known for being a colorful and inclusive celebration, the Pride Festival is a national event dedicated to celebrating the civil rights and culture of members of the lesbian, gay, trans-gender, queer, and asexual (LGBTQA) community. Regardless of your sexual orientation or gender identification, Pride is a fun-filled event where people can come together to celebrate their individuality. Palm Springs hosts its Pride festival during the first week of November, with key dates taking place on the first weekend of the month. Read on to learn more about this fantastic event!

Show Support and Celebrate LGBTQA Culture

Taking place for over three decades, Palm Springs Pride is a two-day event held in downtown Palm Springs in early November each year, on the first weekend of the month. It is one of the longest-running and most popular Pride events in Southern California.

On that Saturday, the free festival is held from 10:00am to 10:00pm downtown. The Palm Springs Front Runner 5K Run and Walk gives Pride attendees an early and healthy start, if they wish, from 7:30am to 10:00am. Then, participants can attend pool parties, drag shows, contests, live music performances, wrestling matches, foam parties, film screenings, and more. From 6:00pm to 11:00pm, a block party is held on the street on Arenas Road, which is also a free event, but only open to event attendees who are twenty-one years old or older.

On Sunday, the free celebrations continue downtown on Palm Springs Road from 10:00am to 6:00pm, with the Pride Parade from 10:00am to noon serving as the highlight of the event. Similarly to Saturday’s events, festival-goers can get an early start with the VIP Pre-Parade Breakfast at Desert Regional medical Center, attend parties, and attend meet-and-greet film screenings, with the final celebrations wrapping up at 9:30pm.

At Pride, you’ll see people in attendance ranging from entertainers and artists to vendors, with great parties set up in the most fantastic locales around the city, from CCBC Resort to the Hard Rock Hotel. Palm Springs Pride is the largest LGBTQA gathering in the Greater Coachella Valley, complete with live music, dancing, excellent food, non-profit organizations, and more. Visitors have the option to donate, but it is not required.
