The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens

 

 

The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens is one of the most fun and educational attractions in Greater Palm Springs - and it's the perfect activity for families!

 

While all indoor exhibits are closed due to COVID restrictions, kids will love the many outdoor exhibits and attractions that are still open. The zoo even features over 50 botanical gardens and miles of hiking trails - you could easily spend an entire day there!

The Palm Springs Air Museum

 

 

History comes alive at the Palm Springs Air Museum, ranked as one of the top 14 air museums in the world by CNN Travel! The museum features a number of exhibits, tours, lectures, and events, but what you won't want to miss out on is their WWII and Korea/Vietnam era aircraft exhibit - they're just fascinating! And for those wanting an adrenaline rush - you can also book a ride in one of their vintage Warbirds!

Palm Springs Windmill Tours

 

 

We've all seen pictures of the iconic wind turbines that welcome visitors as they're arriving to the Coachella Valley - but did you know that you can actually get a private tour?

 

Palm Springs Windmill Tours offers fun and educational Self-Driving Tours that are also social-distancing friendly. The tours take about an hour and take you through 10 stops including wind turbines, a solar farm, and an old gas plant. You'll even be able to get up close to a wind turbine and snap your own photos!
